Ben and I went thrift shopping at Value Village the other day and look what I bought! It’s nothing special or anything but it’s pretty cute, and I’ve already thought of a few ways I’m gonna wear it. Ben somehow always manages to find the NICEST stuff when we go to thrift stores, like diesel and seven for all mankind jeans and almost brand new super nice dress shirts and brand name tshirts and hoodies, it’s crazy, and somehow all I end up with is one Hollister flannel 😏  He’s always dressed so nicely and his stuff is almost always from Value Village hahaha. And just for the record, he was buying his stuff at thrift stores before Macklemore made it cool! And Macklemore’s name is Ben too so basically they’re the same person 😉

My first Lush bath bomb experience was a success 😊 ! Except I didn’t stay in the tub for very long because it was sooo hot and the lavender in the bath bomb made me suuuuper sleepy. 🛀💤
The water started out as swirls of pink and blue and ended a deep purple colour with the faintest bit of glitter, which was super pretty, but I may have messed up the process a bit by crushing up the excess pieces floating around. The bath bomb also made my skin feel sooo soft and smell amazing, and i’m noticing now that I’ve got a little bit of glitter left over on me, hehe. I’m definitely going to be purchasing more bath bombs for both me and Ben in the near future - I actually already have some picked out that I know he’ll like! 🛀💗

Yesterday after work I stopped into Lush for the first time to buy some bath bombs! I walk past it every day and have never gone in. I bought Twilight (the pink one) for me and Golden Slumbers (the white one) for Ben. They both have lavender as their main ingredient to make you sleepy! I’ve looked at Lush’s website a few times and I actually specifically went in to buy Ben a bath bomb to help him fall asleep at night. He’s always staying up until 3 or 4 in the morning and then he’s exhausted for school the next day. Over time I’ve bought him lots of little things from Bath & Body Works to help him too, like de-stress pillow spray, body wash, hand soap, and lavender pillow spray. I guess we’ll see how this one works! I’m also super excited to try mine tonight :)

I’ve been looking for a picture of myself to post because so far there are no pictures of me on my PERSONAL blog, and I thought there should be, just to introduce myself to you all. This is me with one of my babies, Angus. I thought this picture was fitting because I am a legit crazy animal lover. I spend my free time looking at the animals on the humane society website, and I’m constantly begging my parents to let me adopt more :)

So up until a few days ago, I was really back and forth about what I wanted to do in University. I was on the phone with Ben the other day, telling him all about how I used to love cutting the pages out of bridal magazines and organizing them into categories in a pretty white binder, and how obsessed I am with all the wedding shows on TLC, and he pointed out that I’d probably love to be a wedding planner. Since we had that conversation I have been SO excited to do that! I’ve been fantasizing about having my own office, dressing cute and classy every day, having a receptionist, and of course spending my time planning all the aspects of weddings. Last night my dad and I planned out all the courses I’d take in university to make it happen (Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise at the U of A School of Business), and Ben and I went out and bought some magazines and a binder for me to start up my little hobby again. So here I am, pretending to plan weddings in my free time!
